The Fiction project is funded by the European Commission through the Swedish Council for Higher Education with the aim of enhancing teachers' knowledge to teach students to use digital tools for their own understanding of science.

Il progetto è coordinato scientificamente dal Liceo Statale Niccolò Machiavelli di Firenze, in partnership con il Dipartimento di Matematica dell'Università di Genova, il Technological Educational Institute (TEI) di Messolongi (Grecia), la Södertörn University (Svezia), la John Atanasoff Vocational High School of Electronics (Bulgaria), la Zinev Art Technologies Ltd. (Bulgaria), l'Arsakeio Lyceum of Patra (Grecia), DoWellScience ha l'obiettivo di migliorare i risultati e le performance degli studenti di scuola superiore nelle discipline STEM (scienza, tecnologia, ingegneria e matematica).

11th International conference on Structural Analysis of Historical Constructions

The International Conference on Structural Analysis of Historical Constructions (SAHC 2018) will be an event that continues the successful bi-annual series of conferences that started back in 1995. SAHC conferences are highly prestigious international events that allow sharing and dissemination of research and practice, as well as networking in this exciting field.

The SAHC 2018 will be organized by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and will take place from September 11 to 13, 2018 in Cusco, Perú. The theme of the conference will be “An Interdisciplinary Approach” which emphasizes the importance of the involvement of a variety of disciplines in the task of conserving and restoring heritage buildings.

The UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme celebrates this year its 25th anniversary. The success of this initiative is impressive and we count today more than 700 Chairs worldwide, with more than 170 in Natural Sciences.

This network is unique and has displayed over the years its potential for its members and for UNESCO. Today, more than ever, the international community needs more science, better, interconnected, crosscutting science to respond adequately to the challenges of our time. Therefore, our network has an important role to play in the common effort to achieve the Sustainable development goals.

In this context, and for the first time, UNESCO Chairs in Natural Sciences (Sc-Chairs) will gather in Geneva to build synergy and cooperation and to harness their expertise for the contribution to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Questo il tema del workshop multidisciplinare “Health right across the Mediterranean: tackling inequalities and building capacities” a cui parteciperá la Cattedra UNESCO

Esperti in salute pubblica, scienze umane, comunicazione, provenienti da diversi paesi europei, dialogheranno sul diritto alla salute: partendo da uno sguardo globale sulle diseguaglianze di salute e sugli effetti delle migrazioni, si discuteranno l’attuale contesto e le azioni da intraprendere per tutelare con equità la salute di tutti.
